Robert J. Ault

Robert J. Ault, 75 of Midland, beloved husband and father passed away Tuesday, December 26, 2017 at the Toni and Trish House after a long, courageous battle with cancer.

Bob was born November 13, 1942 to the late John T. and Kathleen D. (Hayward) Ault in Saginaw and was a graduate of Arthur Hill High School class of 1960.

He was a member of UA Local 85, Plumbers and Steamfitters. Bob worked as a journeyman welder and pipefitter before being recruited by Delta College in 1978 to establish the Welding Technology Program. His passion was teaching and he remained at Delta until his retirement in 2013. Bob was a member and past president of the Saginaw Valley Chapter of the American Welding Society. He was awarded "Educator of the Year" for three years by the National Welding Society.

He is survived by his wife of nearly 26 years, Suzanne (Schuette) whom he married in Midland on January 4, 1992; son John (Angela) Ault; daughters Sheila Ault Marcoe, Andria (Tony) Garcia, Jacklyn (David Vogler) Easlick; grandchildren Sequoia, Asher, Raine and Milan Garcia. He is also survived by sisters Jacqueline (Frank) Cergnul, Connie (James) Kinnaman; mother in law Joan Schuette; brother in law Jason (Barbara) Schuette; many nieces and nephews; and his beloved kitties Tommy and Tina.

Bob's family would like to thank all of the volunteers and staff at the Toni and Trish House for the exceptional care they provided.

A celebration of his life will be conducted at Noon on Friday, January 5, 2018 from the Wilson MILLER Funeral Home with Reverend Dr. Wallace H. Mayton, III of Memorial Presbyterian Church officiating

Visitation will be at the funeral home on Friday from 10:00 am until the time of service. Donations in Mr. Ault's memory may be offered to the Toni and Trish House. Personal messages of condolence may be offered at www.wilson-miller.com
