Richard "Rick" L. Penny, Jr.

Richard "Rick" L. Penny Jr. age 59 of Billings Township died Tuesday, June 2, 2015 at his residence. The son of the late Richard L. and Beverly (Berryhill) Penny Sr. was born on February 16, 1956 in Gladwin and raised and educated in Midland. On November 26, 1976 he married the former Margaret "Peggy" Howard in Midland. Rick worked for the Dow Chemical Co. as an operator retiring in 2010 as a maintenance supervisor. He then worked for the Styron Company for an additional two years. Rick was a proud owner and an avid Harley Davidson motorcycle rider. He was a devoted father and husband making his family the priority of his affections.

Rick is survived by his wife Margaret "Peggy" Penny and his two daughters, Sara (Kenneth) Mohre of Grand Blanc, Jessica (Lucas) Nowicki of Fairmont, MN; four grandchildren Johnny Mohre, Reya Mohre, Chloe Nowicki and Cooper Nowicki. He is also survived by his brothers, Kevin Penny of Las Vegas, Dean Penny of Kalamazoo; sisters Bethany (Barry) Jacobs of Midland and Kim (Mark) Adams of Sterling.

In accordance to his wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family gathering will be held at a later date. Memorials may be offered to the Michigan Chapter of the March of Dimes, 26261 Evergreen, Suite 290, Southfield, MI 48706.
