Reathel K. Clerc

Reathel K. (Mason) Clerc, age 80 of Midland, died Wednesday, October 13, 2010 at Kindy Adult Foster Care Home. The daughter of the late Lloyd H. and Mary Ann (Mason) Mason was born July 23, 1930 in Hope Township. On May 26, 1952 she married Carrol "Pete" Clerc in Midland and he predeceased her February 15, 2010. Reathel had worked as an executive secretary for the Dow Chemical Co. for 36 years before taking a medical leave of absence. She enjoyed playing cards and sewing.

Mrs. Clerc is survived by her son, Jodi (Peggy) Clerc of Breckenridge; daughters, Gayle (Don) Schaffer of St. Joseph, Missouri and Renee (John) Farrand of Saginaw; 10 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; brother, Donald (Carol) Mason of Midland; sister, Phllis Ostrum; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by sisters, Imogene Westendorf, Elnora Westendorf and Rosetta Stanchfield.

The family of Mrs. Clerc would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Kindy Adult Foster Care for the many years of care given to their mother.

A memorial service for Mrs. Clerc will be held at Noon on Saturday, October 16, 2010 from the Wilson MILLER Funeral Home with the Reverend Larry Wright of Our Savior Lutheran Church officiating.
Visitation will be at the funeral home on Saturday from 11:00 am until the time of service. Memorials may be offered to Heartland Hospice or the American Diabetes Association. Personal messages of support may be left for the family at www.wilson-miller.com
