Ray A. Johnson Sr.

Ray A. Johnson Sr., age 86 of Midland, passed away Saturday, October 13, 2018 at his residence. The son of the late Kenneth and Edna (Tatman) Johnson was born November 7, 1931 in Cromwell, IN. Ray served his country honorable with the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He worked many years with the Iron Workers Local #25. On Nov 13, 1954, Ray married the former Nancy L. Ordiway in Angola, IN. She preceded him in death on September 8, 2012 after 58 years of marriage.

Ray is survived by his sons, Ray "Guy" (Terri Jo) Johnson Jr., Lonnie (Nancy Jo) Johnson, and Rex "Willie" Johnson. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents and wife, Ray was preceded in death by his son, Gary Johnson and grandson, Tyler Johnson.

Funeral services for Ray will be conducted at 11:00 am on Friday, October 19 2018 from the Wilson MILLER Funeral Home with Pastor Dan Youmans of Lighthouse Body of Christ officiating. Military Honors and committal services will follow in Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Family will receive guests at the funeral home on Thursday from 4 - 8 pm and again on Friday from 10:00 am until the time of service. Memorials in Ray's name may be offered to the American Cancer Association or Mid-Michigan Home and Hospice.
