R. Sue Mcbride

R. Sue McBride, age 64 of Midland died Saturday, July 24, 2010 in Saginaw. The daughter of the late Dewey and Mayme (Steele) Phillips was born on October 5 1945 in Mcalester, OK and moved to Midland at the age of 5. Sue had worked as a Quality Control Tester for E.P.C. until her retirement in 1998 due to poor health. Sue loved craft work and was an avid reader, but most of all enjoyed her Personal Computer time.

Sue is survived by her daughter, LaDonna Gombosi; grandchildren, Alyssa (John) Staley and Aryel Dale; and great grandchildren, David, Bella and Lilly. She is also survived by siblings, James (Wanda) Phillips, Billy Ray (Nancy) Phillips, Zack (Suzanne) Phillips, Roy (Joan) Phillips, Ben (Sue) Phillips, Carl (Valorie) Phillips, Martha Kube, Edith (James) Wade, Lola (Ken) McPhail, Elsie Havens and Dorothy (Jack) Worthing. Sue will also be missed by close friends Don & Jan Mann. She was predeceased by her parents, brother, A. R. Phillips and sister, Mary Haskins.

An informal service will be conducted at noon on Thursday, July 29, 2010 from the Open Door Baptist Church. Visitation will be at the church from 11:00 am until time of service. Memorials may be offered to the Midland County Council on Aging or to the Open Door Baptist Church.
