Priscilla F. Lees, age 91 of Midland, passed away peacefully Saturday evening December 15, 2018, at Candlestone Assisted Living with her family by her side. The daughter of the late Stewart and Grace (Warner) Jane was born in Ferndale, Michigan on November 1, 1927. Priscilla went on to get her Bachelors of Science Degree from Michigan State Normal College majoring in English and Elementary Education and then her Master of Arts from University of Michigan. She taught homebound students in the Ann Arbor Public Schools and then with Midland ISD from 1977 until her retirement in 1990. Priscilla was a member of Memorial Presbyterian Church, a 25 year member and past President of the Midland Civitan Club and Alpha Sigma Tau Alumnae-Alpha Chapter-Eastern Michigan University. She enjoyed activities at the Midland Community Center, traveling, and fishing, but most of all spending time with her family and friends. On April 12, 1958, in Ferndale, Priscilla married Robert N. Lees and after 53 years of marriage, he died on June 29, 2011.
Surviving is her son, David (Cathy) Lees of Sanford; daughter, Stephanie (Mike) Daris of Sanford; granddaughters, Brianne (Tony) Abramson, Kayla Lees-Stevenson and fiancé, Billy Ripley; great grandchildren, Anthony Abramson, Nelly Abramson, and Brynlee Stevenson.
Funeral services for Priscilla will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, December 20, 2018, from Memorial Presbyterian Church with Dr. Rev. Wallace H. Mayton III officiating. Private interment will be in Midland City Cemetery. Family will receive guests at the Wilson MILLER Funeral Home, 4210 N. Saginaw Rd, Midland on Wednesday from 4:00 p.m until 7:00 p.m. and at the church on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Memorials may be offered to Midland Civitan Club, Midland Senior Services or Care Team Hospice.
