Piccola I. (Hund - Bird) Sweebe

Piccola I. (Hund-Bird) Sweebe, age 84 of Midland, passed away Monday, October 28, 2024 at her daughter's home in Sanford. She was born in Warren Twp, Midland County on May 19, 1940 to the late Elwood F. and Evelyn I. (Metcalf) Hund. On February 14, 1993, Cola married Jerry Sweebe in Midland and they shared 29 years together before his death in 2022. Cola worked as a Trust Officer with Chemical Bank, retiring in 2000 after many years of service.

Surviving are her children, Edward (Yvonne) Bird, Penny (Scott) Tolfree, Lisa (Rod) Wood, and Theresa (Britt) Atkinson; 14 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild; siblings, Betty Lou (Wilbur) Boot, Crystal Burr, and Nancy (Roger) Tigner; brothers and sisters in law, Sara Krotzer, Pat Sweebe, Chris (Marilyn) Sweebe, Fran (Darryl) Hahn, and Sandy (Dale) Demski; along with many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Cola was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters in-law, Stephen Burr, Lawrence Sweebe, Jon Sweebe, Neal Sweebe, Lloyd Krotzer and Betty June (Ernest) Jacobs.

Per Cola's wishes, cremation has taken place and a graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, November 2, 2024 in the Poseyville Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be offered to St. Jude's Children's Hospital. Arrangements are under the care of Wilson MILLER Funeral Home.
