Phyllis L. "Granny" Bihn, 89 of Midland, died Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at MidMichigan Medical Center. The daughter of the late Roy and Edith (DeLong) Cooper was born March 21, 1928 in Midland and was raised and educated in St. Elmo. On February 20, 1947 Phyllis married Gilbert D. Bihn in St. Elmo. She was a bus driver for Bullock Creek Schools for many years. Phyllis attended Faith Wesleyan Church. She enjoyed camping, traveling, watching birds and admiring flowers. Phyllis loved her sweets but especially her sweet grandchildren and great grandchildren!
Phyllis is survived by her husband of 70 years, Gilbert; daughters Gloria (Charles) Disel of Shepherd, Grace (Dennis) Jones of Shepherd, Janet (Mike) Gandy of Sanford; grandchildren Brian, Trent, Sally, Curtis, Betty, Joy, Jennifer, and Travis; -13- great grandchildren; and brother Frank Cooper. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by brothers, Norris and David Cooper and sisters Evelyn Hartung and Vada Bihn.
Funeral services for Mrs. Bihn will be conducted at 11:00 am on Saturday, April 15, 2017 from Faith Wesleyan Church with Pastor Dennis Curell officiating. Private interment will be in Lee Township Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Wilson MILLER Funeral Home on Friday from 4-7 pm and at the Church on Saturday from 10:00 am until the time of service.
