Patricia B. Potter

Patricia B. (Steinka) Potter, age 83 of Bay City and formerly of Midland, passed away September 21, 2025, at Candlestone Assisted Living in Midland. She was born in Midland on May 15, 1942, to the late Bernard and Velma (Gary) Steinka. She married Ronald Potter on December 18, 1965, in Midland, where they were blessed to share 54 years. Together they vacationed in Arizona for 25 years and were members of the Tower Point Tennis Club.

Pat worked as a bank teller for many years, most recently with Wolverine Bank. One of her favorite pastimes was playing cards with her cousins and friends. She indulged her creative side by crocheting, making quilts, and ceramics. Pat also enjoyed reading and putting together puzzles. She will be remembered for her baked goods, especially her chocolate chip cookies.

She will be remembered by her children, Darryl Potter and Darin (Lauri) Potter; grandchildren, Matt Potter, Courtney (Michael) Destrampe and Zachary Potter; great grandchildren, Adelia Rae Destrampe and Cloe Phipps. In addition to her husband and parents, Pat was welcomed to heaven by her siblings, Ronald (LouAnn) Steinka and Linda (Jim) Bedell.

Pat's life will be celebrated with a service to be held at 11:00 am on Monday, September 29, 2025 at Wilson Miller Funeral Home. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Sunday from 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm and on Monday from 10:00 am until the time of service. She will be laid to rest privately next to her husband in Midland City Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be offered to the American Legion Post #443, 2080 N. Meridian Rd. Sanford, MI 48657.
