Patricia G. Pitt, age 75 of Midland, loving wife, mother and grandmother, died peacefully Saturday, February 11, 2017 at her son's home surrounded by loving family.
The daughter of the late Arza D. and C. Anna (Furst) Sleeper was born March 6, 1941 in Lee Township where she was raised and educated.
Pat married Leo A. Pitt on October 19, 1957 in Midland. After nearly 58 years of marriage he predeceased her August 10, 2014.
Pat worked with her husband in their Archery business for many years. In her younger years she loved to hunt along with Leo, go camping and ride motorcycles. She loved being outdoors, enjoyed gardening and doing crafts.
Pat had a warm, open, loving heart for everyone. The true joy in her life was sharing her gentleness and kindness to her family, friends and animals.
She is survived by her son Mark (Heidi) Pitt of Midland; daughters Brenda Thorington of Hope, Susan (Butch) Caldwell of Junction City, AR, Linda (Ryan) Pottle of NC, Sally (Jim) Cook of Traverse City; nineteen grandchildren; thirty two great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; and her sister Carolyn Adcock of Midland.
In addition to her parents and husband she was predeceased by her brothers Wally and Tom Sleeper.
Funeral services for Mrs. Pitt will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, February 15, 2017 from the Wilson MILLER Funeral Home with Pastor Wayne Shidler officiating. Interment will follow in Lee Township Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Wednesday from Noon until the time of service.
