Patricia A. Glesner

Patricia A. Glesner, age 90 of Midland, passed away Thursday, October 7, 2021 at Brittany Manor. The daughter of the late Charles A and Lillian (Mordhorst) Glesner was born in Midland on August 29, 1931. She attended St. Brigid's School and graduated from Midland High School in 1949. While in high school, Pat was active in sports and was President of the Olympic Club. She was also a member of Palmer Hi-Speed Softball Team. In 1953, Pat graduated from Mercy Central School of Nursing in Grand Rapids where she was President of the Senior Class and student of the year.

Devoted to caring for others, she worked in many areas of nursing including being Head Nurse of Med-Surgery at Mercy Hospital in Cadillac, Michigan, school Nurse & Infirmarian at Blessed Sacrament Academy, Yonkers, NY, In-service Director & Infection Control Officer at St. Francis Nursing Home, Shields, Michigan. Most recently she enjoyed her time spent with the seniors as Health Nurse at Washington Woods.

Pat was a member of St. Brigid of Kildare Catholic Church, where she served as a Eucharistic Minister and ministered to the home bound at Our Lady of Grace (St. Agnes) Sanford.

She is survived by her many nieces and nephews along with their spouses, grand nieces and nephews, and great-grand nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Pat was preceded in death by six sisters; five brothers, 3 nephews, 3 nieces, 1 brother in law and five sisters in law; 2 grandnephews; 2 grandnieces.

The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at 10 am on Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at St. Brigid of Kildare Catholic Church. Burial will take place in St. Anthony Cemetery in Fisherville. Visitation will be on Tuesday at the church from 9 am until the time of mass. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Midland Senior Services, Meals on Wheels, Toni and Trish House, or St. Brigid's School.
