Opal Frederick

Opal F. Frederick age 81 of Breckenridge died Sunday March 24, 2013 at the MidMichigan Medical Center. The daughter of the late Arthur and Ora (Thompson) Fletcher was born on April 20, 1931 in Brant, Michigan. On May 23, 1953 she married Jack D. Frederick and he predeceased her on February 19, 1998.

Opal worked as a waitress in various restaurants for over fifty four years. She enjoyed dancing and watching old TV shows and most memorable she made everyone feel loved and was the matriarch of the family.

Opal is survived by her sons: Michael (Dawn) Frederick of Midland, Mark Frederick of Midland, Kenneth (and friend Bambi) Frederick of Midland, Cary Frederick of Breckenridge and her daughter Debra Frederick of Breckenridge. She will be missed by her grandchildren; Shawn (James) Marzluft, Michael Jr. (Kelly) Frederick, Nicholas Frederick, Mark T. (Jerri) Frederick, Jennifer (Albert) Keane, Rachael (Patrick) Hart, Tishana Forest, Matthew Frederick and Kendra Frederick. She is also survived by fourteen great grandchildren her brother Darnell (Barbara) Fletcher, brothers-in-law Jack Oberlin, Ken (Phyllis) Frederick, Jim (Bernice) Frederick, sisters-in-law Myrna Fletcher, Delores Fletcher, Terry Frederick and Mary Ruth Frederick. In addition to her parents and husband she was predeceased by her sisters: Rebecca Hollenbeck, Bina Oberlin, Cora Buich, Arlene Hintermeister and brothers: Guy Fletcher, Delbert Fletcher, William Fletcher, Jerry Fletcher and Niles Fletcher.

Funeral service for Mrs. Frederick will be conducted at 11:00 AM Thursday, March 28, 2013 from the Wilson MILLER Funeral Home. Interment will be in Lee Twp. Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 and from 10:00 am until time of service on Thursday. Memorials may be offered to the American Diabetes Association.
