Opal (Parcher) Delmarter

Opal (Parcher) Delmarter, age 71 of Sanford died Friday, February 13, 2009 at Tender Care of Midland. The daughter of the late William and Lucille (Knapp) Parcher was born on February 6, 1938 in Chesaning, Mi. and was raised and educated in St. Charles, moving to Midland area in 1956. On June 6, 1955 she married Harold R. Delmarter in Angola, IN. Opal was an active member of the Lighthouse Body of Christ Church and cherished her time with her family being a Mother and Grandmother.

Opal is survived by her husband Harold R. Delmarter; son Raymond Delmarter of Midland; daughter Carol (Ken) De Shone of Beaverton; grand children, Cassandra (Michael) Richmond, Ken De Shone, Jr., Gregory Delmarter and Raymond (Jessica) Delmarter: 7 great grandchildren; brothers, John, Theodore and William Parcher, Jr.; sisters, Beverly (Clayton) Sawvel, Della (Emery) Leadford, Wilma (Ben) Ostrander, Joyce (Albert) Keech, Darlene (Edward) Barror, Delores (Allen) Cross, Phyllis (Robert) Perkins, Ella (William) Goodrich and a special thank you to care takers, Angie Delmarter and Jennfier Ross. Opal was preceded in death by, brothers, Alfred, Gilbert and Lawrence Parcher; sister, Eloise Parcher.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Monday February 16, 2009 from Wilson MILLER Funeral Home. Rev. Dan Youmans will officiate. Interment will follow in Jerome Township Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm and on Monday from 10 am until the time of service. Memorials may be offered to Tendercare of Midland Activities.
