Onalee J. (Shepherd) Suderman

Onalee J. Suderman, age 85 of Midland, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, went to be with her Lord, Friday August 19, 2011 at Tendercare of Midland. The daughter of the late Clarence and Ina (Windover) Shepherd was born June 11, 1926 in Saginaw and raised and educated in Midland; graduating 1945. On August 18, 1945 she married Edward Suderman in Midland. Onalee was a homemaker and co-owned Suderman Car Care with her husband for over 30 years, retiring in 1992. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, the Stephen Ministry, Zonta Club, Midland Women's Christian Club, and volunteered as a Yellow Lady at the Midland Hospital. She enjoyed music and traveling for musical performances in Harbor Springs. In her later years she found great comfort in watching nature. Onalee will be remembered as a very outgoing person that loved making new friends and spending time with her family.

Mrs. Suderman is survived by her husband of 66 years, Edward Suderman; sons, Ronald (Judith) Suderman of Midland, Douglas (Ginny) Suderman, Kevin Suderman, Kalvin (Judy) Suderman; daughter, Carol (Gary) Sirrine all of Midland; grandchildren, Todd (Melissa) Sirrine, Ted Sirrine, Phillip (Renee) Suderman, Darcie (Jon) Van Dop, Travis (Kristin) Suderman, Jamie (Erica) Suderman, Andrea (Jon) Croft, Matthew (Taryn) Suderman, Amber (Joshua) Borneman; and eleven great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters; Lois (Ray) Laplow and Valerie Bergman and predeceased by her brother Don Shepherd.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am, Monday, August 22, 2011 from the Wilson MILLER Funeral Home with the Reverend John P. Dick officiating. Interment will follow in Homer Township Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Sunday from 2-6 pm and on Monday from 10:00 am until the time of service.
