Olive June Laubscher

Olive J. (Hopkins) Laubscher, 82, of Midland died Tuesday, July 6, 2010 at MidMichigan Medical Center.
The daughter of the late Albert and Florence (Craft) Hopkins was born August 31, 1927 in England where she was raised and educated.
On August 25, 1945, Olive married Max Tracy Laubscher in England. Mr. Laubscher predeceased his wife on August 28, 1982 after 37 years of marriage.
Olive enjoyed gardening, flowers and volunteer work. She spent nearly 20 years knitting and crocheting baby clothes for the needy. She loved spending time with her family and giving back to the community.

She is survived by her sons, Lonnie (Gilda) Laubscher of Breckenridge, Barry Laubscher of Carpentersville, IL, Jon (Kathy) Laubscher of Shepherd; daughter, Cindy (Grant) Crain of Harrison; -12- grandchildren, Rachel, Michael, Ben, Joe, Dan, Michelle, Tony, Richard, Shane, Matthew, Joshua, Ashley; many great grandchildren; sisters, May Blamire and Elsie Heathorn.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her son, Wayne; three sisters, Margaret, Flo, Doris; and brother, Richard.

A memorial service will be held for Mrs. Laubscher at 3:00 pm, Thursday, July 8, 2010 from the Wilson MILLER Funeral Home with Pastor Gary Eastman of Calvary Apostolic Church of Midland officiating.
Family will meet with friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 2:00 pm until the time of service.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be offered to St. Jude Children's Hospital or the American Red Cross.
