Norman Roland Herman

Norman Roland Herman, age 90 of Midland, died Saturday, February 11, 2023 at his home. He was born in Saginaw on December 10, 1932 to the late Roland and Florence (Blood) Herman. Norm married the former Eva Hoon on April 10, 1971 and they spent 36 years together before her death in 2008. He worked as an operator for Dow Chemical for 35 years. Then he spent the next 36 years in retirement staying active and doing things he loved. These included gardening, dancing at the Legion every Tuesday night, and raising quail, hamsters, and guinea pigs.

Surviving is his step daughter, Wanda Bird; step son in law, Randy LaBerge; step grandchildren, Joye, Jeff, Jamie, Al, Kent; special friend, Marge; along with many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and wife, Norm was preceded in death by his step daughters, Lou Ann LaBerge and Yvonne Schaefer; and siblings, Andy Herman, Vern Herman, Shirley Currey, Betty Riggie, Dudley Herman, Donna Kenyon, Ken Herman, and Raymond Herman.

Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Thursday, February 16, 2023 at the Wilson MILLER Funeral Home. Pastor David Kissinger will officiate with burial to follow in Lee Twp Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4-7 pm and on Thursday from 10 am until the time of service. Memorial contributions may be offered to the Midland Missionary Church.
