Norma J. Stickley

Norma J. Stickley,86,of Midland died Tuesday, February 23, 2016 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

The daughter of the late Orlo and Vera (Allen) Bowman was born May 2, 1929 in Midland where she was raised and educated, graduating from Midland High School in 1947. Norma married Oakley W. Stickley July 18, 1947 in North Bradley. After nearly 55 years of marriage, Oakley predeceased his wife May 6, 2002.

Norma enjoyed camping, fishing, rock hunting, playing cards, mushrooming and coin collecting. She was an avid Detroit Tigers baseball fan and enjoyed the Loons games, especially the fireworks. In their later years, Norma and Oakley enjoyed spending time at their cabin and boating at Houghton Lake.

Mrs. Stickley is survived by her sons Roger (Carolie) Stickley of Freeland, Gerald (Luanne) Stickley of Midland; daughter Myrna (Michael) Rudy of Sanford; grandchildren Stephen Rudy, Andrea Nikolov, Jeremy Stickley, Kyle Stickley, Johanna Munnelly, Gail Corey, Pamyla Bean, Kelly Ackerman; 23 great-grandchildren and one great great grandchild.In addition to her parents and husband she was predeceased by her brother Vern Bowman.

Cremation has been arranged through the Wilson MILLER Funeral Home where there will be no visitation. A Memorial service will be held at a later date.
