Nicholas M. Kilbreath

Nicholas M. Kilbreath, age 64, passed away on Sunday November 24th, 2024 surrounded by family at the MyMichigan Medical Center. The son of Floyd and the late Mary (Miles) Kilbreath was born in Midland March 8th, 1960. Nick had been employed as an industrial painter for many years. Between his time spent painting for the Union, and the countless commercial and residential projects, he became an incredibly skilled and professional tradesman. Nick was always lending a helping hand to others in times of need, usually with home improvement projects or working on mechanics. Nick wasn't just all work and no play. He had a very carefree personality that was established from his time growing up in Florida where he found a love for motorcycles, fishing, mother nature, and the simplicity of "Kicking Back" with good music, family, and friends.

In addition to his father, Nick was survived by his children Haley, Kelsey and Miles Kilbreath; Siblings Mary Anne Duffiney, Russ and Mark Kilbreath, Brenda Hage; grandchild Carson Holley; former wife Sally Gombosi. In addition to his mother, Nick was preceded in death by his brother Floyd (Stub) Kilbreath.

Per the wishes of Nick, cremation has taken place. His ashes will be spread at Cocoa Beach Florida where he always longed to return. There will be a celebration of his life at a later date.
