Ned R. Kalawert

Ned R. Kalawert, age 58 of Midland, died Sunday morning February 24, 2013 at MidMichigan Medical Center. The son of the late Willard and Helen H. (Heinz) Kalawert, Jr. was born in Midland on June 28, 1954. Ned was a well known bell ringer for the Salvation Army during the Christmas season and was recognized by an article that appeared in the Midland Daily News. He also enjoyed reading and doing puzzles.

Surviving is his son, Michael Arthur; a grandchild; brothers, Peter (Marsha) Kalawert, Willard (Cheryl) Kalawert III; sister, Kathy (Mark) Lewis; many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Ned was preceded in death by a sister, Nancy.

A celebration of Ned's life will take place 3:00 p.m. Friday March 1, 2013 from Wilson MILLER Funeral Home. Family will received friends at the funeral home on Friday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service. Personal messages of condolence may be offered to the family at www.wilson-miller.com
