Nancy "Nan" E. Miller age 83 of Midland passed away peacefully Tuesday October 15, 2013 after a brief illness. The daughter of the late Glen and Doris (Richardson) Stowits was born May 28, 1930 in Midland, MI. She was a lifelong member of the Homer United Methodist Church, and enjoyed participating in many church functions including the Holy Walk and peanut brittle sales during the Christmas season. Nan was employed as a Librarian for many years with the Bullock Creek School District. On October 8, 1955 she married Donald R. Miller. He died on February 26, 1989
Nan is survived by sons, Tom (Kate) Miller of Grand Ledge and Doug (Cindy) Miller of Otsego, 4 grandchildren, a sister, Sally (Tad) Roberson and several nieces, nephews, brothers- and sisters-in-law. In addition to her parents and husband Nan was preceded in death by a brother, Duane Stowits.
In honoring Nan's wishes cremation has already taken place. A celebration of her life will take place 11:00 a.m. Saturday October 19, 2013 from Homer United Methodist Church with Pastor Raymond Jacques officiating. Family will receive friends at the church on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. The family is requesting in lieu of flowers, a donation in Nan's name, be made to the Homer United Methodist Church 507 S. Homer Rd. Midland, MI 48640.
