December 6, 1936 — August 15, 2016

Nancy S. Martin, 79, of Caro, passed away Monday August 15, 2016 at Heritage Hill Assisted Living in Caro. She lived in many states but considered Michigan her home. The daughter of the late Floyd and Eva (Wiedman) Yargar, Sr. was born in Midland on December 6, 1936, and raised in Freeland. She worked many years for General Motors in Saginaw and started her own daycares in two different states. Nancy enjoyed camping, sewing, crocheting, gardening, ceramics and painting. Her greatest love was for her children, to whom she gave all she could.


Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Mark (Monica) Wilinski, Rodney Martin, Raymond (Bonnie) Flathau, Ronald Flathau, Ralph (Cheryl) Flathau Jr.; daughters, Sarah Martin, Yvonne (Mark) Plume; Step-children, Amy (Rich) Cole and Mike (Dottie) Wilinski; many grandchildren (two of whom she helped raise) and great grandchildren; brother, David Yargar; sister, Iona Sensabaugh. In addition to her parents Nancy was preceded in death by a son, Randy Flathau.


Funeral and committal services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Saturday August 20, 2016 from Wilson MILLER Funeral Home. Interment will be in North Bradley Geneva Township Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Memorials may be offered to the family's wishes.
