Myrna D. Bennett, age 77 of Midland, died Sunday January 6, 2013 at her residence. The daughter of the late Forest and Audrey (Brimmer) Morris was born in Flint, Michigan on June 10, 1935. She was a member of Chapel Lane Presbyterian Church, served in all branches of the International Order of Odd Fellows, Rebekahs where she was the first Nobel Grand in Michigan, and was a past Grand Matriarch of Michigan. Myrna volunteered in many organizations, Girls Scouts, Cub Scouts, Red Cross and Hospice. On June 13, 1953 in Flint Myrna married V. Hugh Bennett. Together they enjoyed 58 years of marriage before his death on June 18, 2011.

Surviving are her sons, James (Avis) Bennett of Livonia, Jeff (Anita) Bennett of Midland; grandchildren, Justin (Amy) Bennett, Shannon (James) McFarland, Sarah (Jason) Toner, Luke & Mark Bennett; great grandchildren, Abby, Zack, Avery & Audrey; brothers, Douglas Morris, Buddy (Nancy) Morris.

Per Myrna wishes cremation has taken place and there will be a memorial services at a later date. Memorials may be offered to Midland County Humane Society or the American Cancer Society.
