Muryle P. Wise, Sr.

Muryle P. Wise, Sr., age 91 of Midland, passed away Tuesday July 13, 2021 at his residence surround by his family. The son of the late Earl D. and Marie E. (Hahn) Wise was born in Midland on June 5, 1930 where he was raised and educated. Muryle had been employed with The Dow Chemical Company until his retirement in 1984. He was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church where he was involved in helping with the Endowment Fund and served as an Usher and Greeter. For over 60 years, Muryle enjoyed bowling on many leagues and in 2017 was inducted into the Midland Bowlers Hall of Fame. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing and vacationing with the family. Muryle served as a volunteer firefighter with Homer Township and was a member of the Homer Township Board.

Surviving is his wife of 68 years, the former Ella M. Tiede, of whom he married on September 6, 1952; son, Muryle (Teri) Wise, Jr. of Houston, Texas; daughter, Cathy Ridge of Richmond, Texas; grandchildren, Megan Wise, Rachel Wise, Ray Ridge III, Clay Ridge and Wade Ridge; great granddaughter, Jacqueline Ridge. In addition to his parents, Muryle was preceded in death by his brother, Willis "Budd" Wise.

Funeral serviced for Muryle will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Saturday July 17, 2021 from Our Savior Lutheran Church with Pastor Robert Shultz officiating. Interment will follow in Homer Township Cemetery. Family will receive guests at the Wilson MILLER Funeral Home on Friday from 2 until 4 and 6 until 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Memorials may be directed to Our Savior Lutheran Church.
