Michael J. Schacher

Michael J. Schacher, age 57 of Midland, died Tuesday evening June 28, 2016 at the University of Michigan Medical Center Ann Arbor. The son of John A. "Jack" and Geraldine M. "Gerry" (Gwisdala) Schacher was born in Bay City on March 19, 1959 and was a 1977 graduate of Bay City Western. Michael was a member of St. Brigid of Kildare Catholic Church, enjoyed hunting, riding his motorcycle, boating, but most of all spending time with his family.

Surviving is his wife of 16 years the former Jacquelyn Dana of whom he married on March 3, 2000; sons, Mike (Heather) Schacher of Bay City, Nick (Lindsay) Schacher of Okemos, Michigan, Shane (Cassandra) Schacher of Ft. Wayne, Indiana; daughters, Stephanie Schacher of Auburn; Emilee Schacher, Brittney and Brandi Schacher all of Midland; grandchildren, Joseph, Reagan, Jake, Johnny and Isabelle; parents, Jack and Gerry Schacher; sister, Lori (Randy) Lemuel of Auburn; brother, Terry Schacher of Auburn; many nieces, nephews, aunts and cousins.

The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Saturday July 2, 2016 at St. Brigid of Kildare Catholic Church with the Rev. Fr. William J. Rutkowski officiating. The Rite of Committal in St. Anthony Cemetery in Auburn. Family will receive friends at the Wilson MILLER Funeral Home 4210 N. Saginaw Rd Midland on Friday from 2 till 8:00 p.m. and at the church on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. A Christian Vigil Service will take place 7:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Memorials may be offered to a college fund to be established for his children.
