Michael J. "Mike" Ordiway

Michael J. "Mike" Ordiway, age 75 of Midland, passed away on Tuesday June 17, 2025 at the MyMichigan Medical Center following a brief illness. The son of the late Ellis E. and Lucy L. (Wejrowski) Ordiway was born in Midland on January 21, 1950. Mike was the former owner/operator of Art Cleaners. After retirement he worked for Wilson MILLER Funeral Home as a funeral assistant. Not wanting to be retired, he then purchased American Cleaners in Clare. He then went on and drove school bus for the Midland Public Schools, and later County Connection. Mike enjoyed woodworking, metal detecting, and Netflix shows.  He treasured his 1970 GTO Judge and enjoyed taking it to car shows.

Surviving is his wife, Kathleen A. (Banules) Ordiway; children, Martin (Donna) Ordiway, Richard (Kathy) Ordiway, Tina (Paul) McLaughlin, Ryan (Jen) Wall, Tony (Amanda) Wall; 14 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Linda Mousseau; many nieces, nephews and longtime friends.

The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday June 24, 2025 at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Sanford. The rite of committal will be held at 2:00 p.m. in New Hope Township Cemetery. Family will receive guests at the Wilson MILLER Funeral Home on Monday from 4 until 7:00 p.m. and at the church on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Memorial contribution may be directed to the organization of choice.
