Michael C. Henck, age 60 of Hope, died Friday October 8, 2010 at his residence after an extended illness. The son of the late George F. and Joyce (Linn) Henck was born in Kalamazoo, Michigan on November 22, 1949. He graduated from Midland High School in 1968. Mike then attended and graduated from Michigan State University in 1972. He served in the United States Army with the Explosive Ordinance Disposal (EOD) during the Vietnam War. Mike was employed with The Dow Chemical Co. as a Research Sample Shipping Facilitator for over 35 years. He enjoyed golfing, off-shore boating, snowmobiling and was a huge Spartan Fan.
Surviving is his wife of 32 years Connie Nagle whom he married on September 9, 1978 in Sanford; sons, Jeremy (Jennifer) Henck of Walled Lake, Brandon Henck of East Lansing; grandson, Logan Henck; brother, Patrick (Judy) Henck of Pendleton, Indiana; mother and father in law, Carole & Lynn Nagle of Sanford; sisters in law, Cathy (Dave) Lees of Sanford, Karen Puckett of Laguna Hills, California; nephew, Grant Puckett; nieces, Brianne Lees, Kayla Stevenson and Kelsey Puckett.
Funeral services will take place 11:00 a.m. Tuesday October 12, 2010 from Wilson MILLER Funeral Home. Elder Ruth Ann Nagle of Reorganized Church of Latter Day Saints, Sanford will officiate. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8:00 p.m. and on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
