Mervyn Eugene Sanders

Mervyn E. Sanders, age 76 of Midland, passed away at home on Thursday, May 15, 2025 with family by his side. He was born on July 30. 1948 in Saginaw to the late Robert E. and LaVonne J. (Gates) Sanders. Mervyn served his country honorably with the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Alma ELKS and lifetime member of the St. Louis VFW post. Mervyn enjoyed going to the casino, going out to eat, games and reading.

Surviving is his siblings, Clifford (Joann) Sanders, Roberta (Jim) Marshall, Loretta Sanders, and Marsha Young and companion, Ben Sisson; nieces and nephews, James (Karmen) Sanders, Eric (Kristen) Marshall, Andy (Sam) Sanders, Stefanie (Trevor) Shook; son, Mike (Becky) Jones; and many great nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Mervyn was preceded in death by his grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mervyn will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, May 19, 2025 at the Wilson MILLER Funeral Home, 4210 N. Saginaw Rd. Midland, MI 48640. His burial with military honors will be held on Monday at 2:30pm at Riverside Cemetery in Breckenridge. Visitation will be on Sunday from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm and on Monday from 10:00 am until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to an organization of one's choice.
