Mary L. Sovereen

Mary L. Sovereen, age 91 of Hope, passed away Saturday September 4, 2021 at Medildoge of Midland. The daughter of the late Lee and Mary (Odel) Elvey was born in Flint on March 30, 1930. Mary had worked at the Midland Public Schools and Midland Hospital earlier in life. She then was the owner of Sovereen Tax Service. Mary enjoyed traveling, spending her husband money shopping, gardening and painting. The family wants to personally thank Jessica from Home Health Care & Hospice, Medilodge of Midland, and Wilson MILLER Funeral Home for their care and compassion.

Surviving is her sons, Gary (Donna) Hickerson, Jeff Sovereen; daughters, Teresa (Mark) Pitch; grandchildren, Mike, Michelle (Kevin), Jason (Nicki), Teddy (Christopher), Jeff (Kevin). In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by daughters, Gloria Hickerson, Sharon Sovereen; granddaughter, Jennifer; sisters, Boots McCloud, Gwen Allison.
