Mary Rose Siminski

Mary Rose Siminski, age 77 of Midland, peacefully passed away Monday, November 27, 2023 at Midland King's Daughters. She was born in Alma on August 7, 1946 to the late Joseph and Guadalupe (Valles) Ortiz. On June 19, 1965, Mary married Michael "Mike" Siminski at St. Brigid's Catholic Church. They shared 49 years together before his death on February 23, 2015.

Mary worked as a secretary for Dow Chemical Company for 32 years retiring in 1996. She also worked as the assistant administrator for 12 years at Royal View Assisted Living in Canadian Lakes. Mary was a member of St. Brigid's Catholic Church for over 50 years and enjoyed playing cards, exercising, boating, reading, listening to music, traveling, and spending time in the U.P. with Mike. She especially loved her grandchildren and watching them play sports.

Surviving are her children, Michelle (Russell) Worsley of Midland and Michael (Jana) Siminski II of Ada, MI; grandchildren, Jackson, Jay, Sam, and Abigail; siblings, Raymond Ortiz, Alicia Moody-Hughes, Virginia Smith, Margaret Calkins, Martina Stewart, Felix Ortiz, and Robert Ortiz. In addition to her husband and parents, Mary was preceded in death by siblings, Caroline Cisneros, Gilbert Ortiz, and John Ortiz.

The family wishes to thank both the staff and residents at Riverside Place and King's Daughters Home in Midland for the care and companionship they gave Mary.

The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at 11 am on Saturday, December 2, 2023 at St. Brigid of Kildare Catholic Church in Midland. Father Andy Booms will officiate with a luncheon to follow at the church. Visitation will be on Saturday at the church from 10 am until the time of mass. Flowers may be sent to the church, memorial contributions may be offered to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association, and personal messages of condolence may be offered to the family at www.wilson-miller.com.
