Mary H. Poland, age 92 of Midland, died Wednesday November 4, 2015 at Marshall Manor in Midland. The daughter of the late Frank and Mary (Mahalik) Krezan was born in Merrill, Michigan on October 9, 1923. Mary was a member of the First Baptist Church in Midland where she was involved in many church activities and the Women's Circle. She enjoyed sewing and was an accomplished seamstress, loved playing golf, dancing and being outside, especially when the sun was shining. On June 5, 1953, Mary married Paul J. Poland in Midland and after nearly 43 years of marriage he died on April 29, 1996.
Mrs. Poland is survived by her daughters, Vicki (Ronald) Blaisdell of Midland, T. Diane Poland of Salt Lake City Utah; grandchildren, Erika (David) Lawrence, Ronald "Skip" Blaisdell II; great grandchildren, Kyla & Mackenzie; brother in law, Nathan (Joyce) Poland of Midland; sisters in law, Geraldine Krezan of Bellflower, CA, Glenna Inman of North Carolina; many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband Mary was preceded in death by brother, Frank D. Krezan; sister, Teresa M. Clark.
Funeral services for Mary will take place 11:00 a.m. Thursday November 12, 2015 from First Baptist Church, 915 E. Sugnet, Midland, with Rev. Dr. Joseph Mortenson officiating. Interment will follow in Midland City Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Wilson MILLER Funeral Home, 4210 N. Saginaw Rd., Midland on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8:00 p.m. and at the church on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
