Martin A. Dowling, Jr.

Martin A. Dowling Jr., age 70 of Midland died at the Toni & Trish House on Sunday January 9, 2011. The son of the late Martin A. and Eva (Lincoln) Dowling, Sr. was born on May 14, 1940 in Midland. On December 29, 1962 he married the former Nancy Poole and she pre-deceased him on June 27, 2004. Martin had worked as a carpenter his entire life. He was an avid outdoorsman enjoying hunting and fishing.

Martin is survived by his son, Troy (Kristine) Dowling; daughter, Tara (David) Lilley of Saline, MI; grandchild, Cortney Sweebe. He is also survived by brothers, Jim, Steve, Denny, David, Tim, Pat, Chris, Greg, Paul; sisters, Mary Dowling, Joellen Bartels and Beth Landowsky.
In addition to his parents and wife he was predeceased by his sister, Veronica Aldrich.

A memorial dinner, in honor and memory of Martin, will be conducted on Sunday, January 16, 2011 from 2 to 6 at the Ingersoll Township Hall, 3026 Sasse Rd., Freeland (at the corner of Sasse and Freeland Rds.)

In accordance with his wishes cremation has taken place. The Wilson MILLER Funeral Home assisted the family
