Marietta L. Lewis-Tripp

Marietta L. Lewis-Tripp, 68, passed away peacefully on June 1, 2025, in Midland, Michigan, the city where she was born on May 27, 1957. Her life was marked by a deep love for her family, a passion for adventure, and a commitment to helping others.

Marietta dedicated much of her professional life to working as a special education assistant in public schools. Her work reflected her compassionate nature and her desire to support and uplift those around her. She brought patience and care to every student she encountered, leaving a lasting impact on many young lives. Beyond her career, Marietta embraced life with an adventurous spirit. She found joy in traveling—especially to Florida with her family—where she cherished time spent sitting on the beach, soaking in the sun and the sound of the waves. One of her greatest pleasures was riding her Harley, a symbol of her free-spirited nature and zest for life.

Family was at the heart of everything Marietta did. She is lovingly remembered by her children: son Paul Horton; daughter, Stacy Muma; son, Brandon Woodcock. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren: Cody Horton; Caydence Woodcock; Kennedy Woodcock; Nick Shell; Kaleb Shell; Elijah Muma; Malachi Muma; Asher Muma; and Ariella Muma; and great grandchildren, Alaira Shell, Maylee Shell, and Kaceyn Shell. Each held a special place in her heart, and she adored them deeply.

Marietta was preceded in death by her parents, Harold Lewis and Donna Wilford, as well as her sisters Debbie and Diane. Their memories remained close to her throughout her life.

Funeral services for Marietta will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 7, 2025 at the Wilson MILLER Funeral Home with Pastor Willis Lewis III officiating. Family will receive guests at the funeral home on Saturday from 11:00 AM until the time of the service at 1:00 PM. Memorial contributions can be made directly to the family in honor of Marietta.
