Marie "Lil" Vier (Cou) Albrough

Marie "Lil" (Couvier) Albrough, age 84 of Midland, died early Wednesday morning, July 21, 2010 at MidMichigan Medical Center. The daughter of the late Romeo and Jean (Bourque) Couvier was born April 10, 1926 in Sault Ste. Marie where she was raised and educated. Lil married Francis G. Albrough on November 16, 1946 and after 55 years of marriage he predeceased her, March 28, 2002. Lil enjoyed artwork, especially painting. She loved to entertain with her family and friends. She was a life member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Sault Ste. Marie.

Mrs. Albrough is survived by her son, David (Deb) Albrough of Hemlock; daughter, Leanne (Davis) MacDonald of Jacksonville, Florida; grandson, Jason (Beth) Albrough of Rochester, MI; step grandchildren, Nathan (Christine) MacDonald of Charleston, South Carolina, Jeff MacDonald of Marquette; great grandson, Elliot MacDonald; caregiver and best friend, Karen Janner of Midland. In addition to her parents and husband, Lil was predeceased by her daughter, Georgia Jacobson; brother, Henry Couvier; and sisters, Noella King and Jeannette Vetter.

A special thank you to the helpful staff of Pinehaven in Hemlock for the wonderful care provided to Lil.

Visitation will be held at the Wilson MILLER Funeral Home on Thursday from 5-8 pm with a Christian Wake Service conducted at 7:30 pm by Deacon Aloysius J. Oliver of St. Brigid of Kildare Catholic Church. Interment services will be on Friday at 1:00 pm at the Oaklawn Chapel Gardens Cemetery in Sault Ste. Marie with visitation at the chapel from 12:30 pm until the time of service. Memorials may be offered to the Georgia Jacobson Memorial Foundation, 5 Round Lake, Hemlock, MI 48626.
