Marie I. Jonas, age 93 of Midland died at her residence on Saturday, November 10, 2012.
The daughter of the late Frank and Mary (Waltz) Briggs was born on May 14, 1919 in Midland, graduating from Midland High School in 1938. She married Robert James McDowell and he predeceased her on December 14, 1958. On June 20, 1963 she married Victor K. Williams and he predeceased her on April 30, 1994. She then married Milton Jonas on November 8, 1997 and he is predeceased. Marie worked for the Midland Hospital for over 14 years as a secretary in the Radiology Department and was a charter member of Messiah Lutheran Church where she was a prayer warrior for the church and was in charge of the prayer committee for many years.

Marie is survived by sons, Russell (Mary) Williams of Midland, Robert (Mary) Williams of Lake Wappapella, MO, Robert (Sandra) McDowell of Midland, Steve Jonas of Ohio; daughters, Beverly Roberts and her husband Mike Waddey of Greensboro, NC, Jeanne (David) Kinne of Midland, Marlene (Steve) Dowling of Midland, Mary Jane (Dick) Sherman of Hemlock, Peggy (Curt) Bredt of Midland; daughters-in-law, Lee McDowell of Murphy, TX, Paula Jonas and her husband, Jim Wetters of Beaverton; 21 grandchildren; 42 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; and sister, Mary Piegols.
In addition to her parents and husbands she was predeceased by sons, Frank McDowell, Charles Jonas; two grandchildren; brothers; and a sister.

Funeral service for Marie will be conducted at 11:00 AM Wednesday, November 14, 2012 from Messiah Lutheran Church with the Rev. John Langewisch officiating. Interment will follow in Midland Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Wilson MILLER Funeral Home on Tuesday from 2 to 8 and at the church on Wednesday from 10:00 am until time of service. Memorials may be offered to the Salvation Army or Messiah Lutheran Church.
