Marian Emily Clarke

Marian E. "Punk" Clarke age 94, of Midland died at her residence on Thursday July 12, 2012.
The daughter of the late Richard and Rebecca (Shaffer) Kent was born in Galesburg, Illinois on July 29, 1917. Marian graduated from Knox College in Galesburg, IL with her Registered Nurse degree then served with the U.S. Navy during WWII. On February 4, 1943 she married Jack Owen Clarke in Chicago and he predeceased her on February 28, 1998. She moved to Midland in 1946 with her husband, Dr. J. O. Clark, DDS when he started his practice. Marian was an active volunteer and was a member of King's Daughters and Memorial Presbyterian Church. She spent many memorable times with her family at the cottage in Beulah, MI, which has been in the family since 1904.

Marian is survived by her sons Richard (Peggy) Clarke of Midland, Thomas (Judy) Clarke of Riverside, CA; daughters Kendra (Al) Perenyi of Dunedin, FL, Jowen (Robert) Suba of Carlsbad, CA; six grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
