Margaret "Loy" Michaels

Margaret Loy Michaels, age 88 of Midland, passed away Tuesday October 12, 2021 at the Toni and Trish House in Auburn. Daughter of the late Harold and M. Joy (Bartlett) Haag was born in Midland on March 23, 1933. She married Daniel Michaels on August 23, 1964 and they shared 30 years together before his death in 1994.

Loy enjoyed many hobbies that include playing Bingo, doing Cross Stitch, Puzzles, Reading, Gardening, going to the Casino and doing Word Search Puzzles. Also special to Loy was her cat Chelsea.

Surviving is her Daughter Denice (Mark) Colosky, Grandchildren: Chad McConnell, Paul Girardin and Brook Dorris, Great Grandchildren: Ashton, Brady, Morgan, Riley, Mason, Kayleigh, Julia and Matthew; Great-Great Grandchild: Chelsea, Sister: Connie Arthur and good Friend/Caregiver: Camille Sebes.

In addition to her parents, Loy was preceded in death by her daughter Debbie Girardin and Loy's best friend Betty Hendrickson.

Funeral services for Loy will be held at 11 am on Monday, October 18, 2021 at the Wilson Miller Funeral Home. Private burial will take place next to her husband in Midland Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Monday from 10 am until the time of service. Memorial contributions may be offered to the Toni and Trish House, American Cancer Society or to the Humane Society of Midland County.
