Margaret C. Boyes

Margaret C. Boyes, age 96 of Midland, passed away Friday morning January 19, 2018 at her residence. The daughter of the late Harry and Edna I. (Brown) Campbell was born in Longmont, Colorado on June 17, 1921. She attended Barnes Business College in Denver Colorado. During World War II Margaret worked in The White House for the OSRD, with the American Red Cross, and at Lawry Air Force Base. She had been employed with the Midland Public Schools, working at Dow High School from 1969 to 1982. Margaret was a member of Midland First United Methodist Church and later Aldersgate United Methodist Church. Margaret was a member of the Eastern Star, Athenaeum, Girl Scouts, a Ham Radio Operator, and enjoyed sewing and knitting. Margaret married George W. Boyes Jr. on August 27, 1949 in Lyons, Colorado. George passed away August 15, 2014

Surviving is her son, Kimbule (Elizabeth) Boyes of Auburn; daughters, Michelle Fitzgerald of Midland, Annice (Mark) Paun of Strongsville, Ohio; grandchildren, Aaron Boyes, Erin (JP) Staszel, Daniel (Jenny) Fitzgerald, Molly Fitzgerald, Mark (Rachel) Paun, Jr.; great grandchild, Emory Staszel; brother Joseph (Jane) Campbell; loving nieces and nephews.


Her loving and adventurous spirit will be missed.

Per the wishes of Margaret cremation has taken place. A service will be held in the spring, at which time Margaret and George's ashes will be interred in Fort Custer National Cemetery. Memorials may be offered to Global Compassion, Inc. 3910 Concord St Midland, Michigan 48642 or Aldersgate United Methodist Church. Arrangements are under the care of Wilson MILLER Funeral Home where.
