Lylla Jane Huggard

Lylla Jane Huggard, age 82 of Sanford, passed away Saturday, October 8, 2022 at Brookdale Assisted Living. She was born in Gladwin County on February 18, 1940 to the late Warren and Opal (Brown) Ross. She married Keith Huggard on December 15, 1956 in Midland and they lived in Germany while Keith was in the US Army. Together they raised three children, Brian, Brenda, Kelly, and enjoyed traveling down to Nashville, Tennessee. Lylla had fond memories of her early childhood spent in Beaverton with her grandparents. She enjoyed traditional country music and her beloved dog, Stanley. Lylla worked in various food service places throughout her life.

Surviving are her children, Brian Huggard of Ludington, Brenda Huggard of Sanford, Kelly (Benjamin) Dollard of Midland; grandchildren, Emily (Seth) Harton, Rachel Huggard, and Maya Huggard. In addition to her parents, Lylla was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Keith Huggard.

The family would like to thank Dr. Robert Jones and Dr. Thomas Regenbogen for their assistance with Lylla's health. They would also like to thank the caregivers at Brookdale Assisted Living, Mt. Forest Senior Living, and Careline Hospice for the wonderful care they gave Lylla.

Private services with interment has taken place in Jerome Twp. Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be offered to Careline Hospice, 103 S. Jackson St. Suite 200, Jackson, MI 49201.
