Lyle E. Seger

Lyle E. Seger, age 77 of Midland, passed away on Monday morning November 21, 2016 at Cascades Senior Living in Midland. The son of the late Albert and Evelyn (Morgan) Seger was born on May 29, 1939 in Lansing and was raised and educated in Midland. Lyle served with the Army and later graduated from Delta College with a Law Enforcement Degree. On August 21, 1965 he married the former Marie McLennan in Midland and she pre-deceased him on January 6, 2016. Lyle started his law enforcement career with the Sanford Police Department, later to Coleman Police Department and then with the Midland County Sheriff's Department, where he retired in 2001 after many years of service. Lyle was a former member of the Blue Knights Motorcycle Club and was an avid Honda Motorcycle owner. He also enjoyed competitive power lifting.

Lyle is survived by his son Jeffrey (Diane) Seger of Bay City and his daughter Tamara Seger of Shepherd. He is also survived by three grandchildren Catie Seger, Joslyn Seger, Maria Seger and on great granddaughter Tia Seger. His brothers Albert "Tim" (Joanne) Seger, Arthur Seger and sister Annabelle Brady also survive.

Funeral service for Mr. Seger will be conducted at 1 pm on Sunday, November 27, 2016 from the Wilson MILLER Funeral Home with Pastor Brian Michael officiating. Cremation will follow with inurnment in Homer Township Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 11 am until the time of service.
