Lucile M. Binkely

Lucile M. (Emerson) Binkley, age 93 of Midland, died Sunday morning February 12, 2012 at Brittany Manor. The daughter of the late John and Pearl (Collins) Emerson was born in Bay City on September 10, 1918 where she was raised and educated. Lucile had been employed with The Dow Chemical Co. until her retirement in 1976 after 28 years of service. She was a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women and A.A.R.P. Lucile enjoyed doing cross stitch, knitting, reading, cooking and was a Detroit Tiger Fan. On December 25, 1945 Lucile married Dale M. Binkley. He died on April 13, 1987.

Surviving is her son, John E. (Sandra) Binkley of Midland; grandson, Jason Binkley; great granddaughters, Allison and Samantha; many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Lucile was preceded in death by brothers, Ray D., Clarence R. and Ross W. Emerson.

Per the wishes of Lucile cremation has taken place. A memorial services will be planned at a later date. Memorials may be offered to Alzheimer's Association Great Michigan Chapter 4604 N. Saginaw Rd Suite F Midland, Michigan.
