Lt. William K. Krueger

Lt. William (Bill) K. Krueger, 75, of Midland passed away on Monday, March 27th, 2017.

William was born in Wyandotte, MI to Herman and Lois (McCurdy) Krueger. He was raised and educated in Trenton, MI graduating from Trenton High School in 1959. Bill graduated from Western Michigan University with a B.S. in marketing. He had a career that he was very proud to be a part of for 27 years with the Michigan State Police. Bill served Grand Haven, Jackson, Lansing, East Tawas, and Bay City. He retired with the rank of Lieutenant in 1990 from the 3rd District Headquarters in Saginaw. After retirement, Bill worked for the National Association of Chiefs of Police in Arlington for two years and graduated from the National FBI Academy. Bill then worked for Rhode Brothers Environmental Services for ten years as an estimator. Bill loved hunting and fishing with his hunting buddies.

On March 9, 2001 he married the love of his life, Roberta Root, in Midland. Bill is survived by his wife and two daughters, Kristy Krueger (Dave Hogle) of Stewartstown, PA and Cindy (Kyle) Myers of Hope; two grandchildren, Tyler Eason of Jackson and Caitlyn Myers of Hope; sister in-law, Sue Root of Pinconning and several nieces and nephews. He will also be missed by his two dearest friends Dave and Barb Albosta of AuGres.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers in-law, Robert and Nate Root.

Per Bill's wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of his life will be conducted at 11:00 am on Thursday, March 30th, 2017 from the Wilson MILLER Funeral Home with Pastor Jim Bear officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Thursday from 9:30 am until the time of service. Memorials in Bill's name may be offered to the Open Door of Midland or a charity of one's choice.
