Lola M. Hess

Lola M. Hess, age 89 of Midland, passed away Sunday, April 29, 2018 at Barton Woods Assisted Living in Freeland. The daughter of the late Lester E. and Anna G. (Robinson) Bacon was born January 18, 1929 in Edenville. On November 19, 1988, Lola married Roderick C. Hess in Freeland. He preceded her in death on January 25, 2017 after 29 years of marriage.

Surviving are her children, Pam (Richard) Hintz of Midland, Holly (Steve) Kosnik of Florida, Patti (Rick) Coleman of Florida, Randi (Thomas Brown) Merrington of Midland, David (Kim) Bacon of Midland; grandchildren, Kimberly, Brent, Shawn, Chasity, Corinne, Jodi, Chelsea, Ian; 10 great grandchildren; and the father of her children, John Geiling.

In addition to her husband and parents, Lola was preceded in death by her brothers, Roy and James Bacon; sister, Lena Groner.

Per Lola's wishes cremation has taken place and a graveside service to celebrate her life will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, May 4, 2018 at New Edenville Cemetery. Memorials in Lola's name may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or to the wishes of the family. Arrangements are under the care of the Wilson MILLER Funeral Home.
