Lois B. (Franklin) Baker, age 95 of Midland, passed away on Saturday, November 2, 2024 at Hampton Manor Assisted Living in Merrill. The daughter of the late Herman and Carrie (Sly) Franklin was born in Ingersoll Township on August 11, 1929. Lois was a 1948 graduate of Midland High School, and graduated from Midland Hospital School of Practical Nursing in 1966. She had been employed with Midland Hospital for many years. Lois was a former member of Poseyville United Methodist Church and attended Gordonville United Methodist Church. She enjoyed doing genealogy, bird watching, gardening, crocheting, camping at Island Lake, was involved with the Bishop Home Extension, Red Hats Society, but most of all she enjoyed being with her family. On July 3, 1948 in Poseyville United Methodist Church, Lois married Robert B. Baker and after 25 years of marriage, he died on March 27, 1973.

Surviving is her son, Bruce (Renaye) Baker; daughter, Kerry (Tom) McDonald; grandchildren, Robert (Brooke) Baker, Bryan Baker, Jill (Bill) Reynolds, Kevin (Kelly) McDonald, Rob (Jannah) Harmon, Beth (Brian) Bredt, Erin (Jason) Pung; great grandchildren, Landon, Laken, Ashlyn Reynolds, Kate & Kenzie Kalamaras, Avery & Penelope Harmon, Bella, Briana & Sara Bredt, Grace & Sam Pung; and son in law, Tom Harmon. In addition to her parents and husband, Lois was preceded in death by her daughter, Fyllis Harmon, and siblings, Lloyd, Clare, Fyllis and Inez Franklin.

Funeral and committal services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 6, 2024 from the Wilson MILLER Funeral Home, with Rev. Karen Knight officiating. Interment will be in Poseyville Cemetery. Family will receive guests on Wednesday morning from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Lunch will follow the funeral in the Miller Reception Room at the funeral home.  Memorial contributions may be directed to First Hospice Care in Flint.
