Lloyd George Krotzer

Lloyd George Krotzer, age 85 of Midland, passed away Saturday, March 2, 2024 at home with family by his side. He was born in Midland on April 25, 1938 to the late George and Altha (Schaultz) Krotzer. On July 15, 1960, Lloyd married the former Sara Sweebe in Midland and they have shared 63 years together. He enjoyed going for walks both outdoors and at the Midland Mall, had a passion for reading and birdwatching.

As an avid outdoorsman, Lloyd was often at his 80 acres in Mancelona hunting with either his kids, grandkids or his nephews, Dan and Mike Krotzer. Lloyd made many trips up north snowmobiling with his family and friends. Every day he made certain his wildlife at home was properly fed. In addition to being an accomplished brick layer around the area, Lloyd was skilled at woodwork. Many of his family and friends still have his handcrafted furniture in their homes.

Surviving is his wife, Sara Krotzer of Midland; children, Dawn (Tony) Little and Steve (Jennifer) Krotzer, both of Midland; grandchildren, Andy (Lindsey) Little, Aaron Little, Tyler Little, Kyle Pomranky, Missy (Tim) Lincoln; great granddaughter, Truly Lincoln; siblings in law, Piccola Sweebe, Neal (Pat) Sweebe, Chris (Marilyn) Sweebe, Fran (Darryl) Hahn, and Sandy (Dale) Demski; along with many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Lloyd was preceded in death by his daughter, Kathy (Ron) Pomranky; siblings, Evelyn (Robert) Hoggard, Arlene Brabaw, Charlie Krotzer, Dale (Betty) Krotzer, Ray "Ed" (Donna) Krotzer, Robert (Alice) Krotzer, Mickey Krotzer, baby Grace Krotzer; parents in-law, Homer and Margaret (Schaefer) Sweebe; and siblings in-law, Betty June (Ernest) Jacobs, Lawrence Sweebe, Jon Sweebe, and Jerry Sweebe.

Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Saturday, March 9, 2024 at Wilson MILLER Funeral Home. Rev. Bonnie Whittier will officiate with burial to be in Midland Memorial Gardens. Following the burial a luncheon will be held at the Sturgeon Creek Beagle Club, 616 W. Pine River Rd. Midland, MI 48640. Visitation will be on Friday from 6 - 8 pm and on Saturday from 10 am until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be offered to the Sturgeon Creek Beagle Club c/o Steve Krotzer, 793 W. Pine River Rd. Midland, MI 48640, MyMichigan Hospice or an organization of one's choice.
