Linda Ann Chapman, 75 of Edenville died Saturday, November 29th at home with her daughter by her side. Linda was born on January 7, 1950 to Reuel WC Davis and Lila (Porter) Davis in Midland. Linda graduated from Midland High School in 1968 and worked at Dow Chemical as a chemical operator and retired after 30 years as a railroad dispatcher. On May 28, 1986, Linda married James Chapman in Pigeon Forge, TN. He predeceased her on January 1, 2023.
Linda and Jim spent almost 20 winters in Florida and thoroughly enjoyed their time at Palm View Gardens and their snowbird friends there. Linda enjoyed traveling, cooking meals and family gatherings and crafts, but her greatest joys were her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was known as Mimi, Meem, and then Big Mimi when the greats came along.
Linda is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Katrina and Jim Conley of Edenville, stepdaughter Shannon (Ryan) Hubbard of Gladwin and grandchildren Morgan (Ryan Murray) of Greenville, Emily Elliott of Sanford, Katy (Doug Duve) of Dubuque, IA, Beau and Ryan Angus of Wisconsin, and step grandchildren Michael Conley of Fremont and Jamie Conley of Grant. Great grandchildren Lila, Kash, Elliott, Aria, Eden, Neveah and Boomer. Sisters Janet Davis and Karyl and several nieces, nephews and in-laws.
Linda was predeceased by her husband Jim, her parents and several in laws.
Cremation has taken place, and a memorial gathering will be held at Wilson-MILLER Funeral Home on December 27, 2025 from 11:00 am-2:00 pm. Memorial contributions can be made to The Care Team Hospice or to the donor’s favorite charity.
The family would like to thank The Care Team Hospice for their compassionate care provided to Linda and the family, especially Angie, Chris, Emily and Sarah.
