Lila M. Myers

Lila M. Myers, 86 of Midland died Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at her home. She was born March 11, 1931 in Rose City, daughter of Clyde and Cora (Delaney) Brooks. Lila was raised by her aunt and uncle, James and Vera (Monroe) Owens with thier daughters, Phyliss Wierman, Joan Kelsy, Mary Wittbrodt and Susan Butler. On January 15, 1949 she married John Kennith Myers and after 53 years of marriage Ken predeceased her May, 23, 2002. Lila graduated from Midland High School. She enjoyed doing counted cross stitch, stain glass, going to Florida for the winters, playing cards with her friends at Trailside and spending time with her family. She was a member of the Midland Rebekah's, Oddfellows, and the American Legion Berryhill Auxiliary.

Lila is survived by her children, Karen (Gary) Munger, Steven (Peggy) Myers, Danny (Toni) Myers; grandchildren Kelly (Troy) Osborn, John (Sarah) Rickett, Marc Rickett, David Myers, Jennifer (Gary) Lamont and Danielle (Tony Anthony) Myers; great grandchildren Josh (Nicole), Chandler, Chynna (Josh), Alivia, Asher, Matthew, Garret, Harrison, Whitney, Peyton, Jessica and Conor.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two infant sons, Kim and Marc; brother Douglas; sisters Mary Wittbrodt, Susan Butler, Joan Kelsy, Phyllis Wierman; great grandson Cameron Lamont.

Funeral services for Mrs. Meyers will conducted at 11:00 am on Saturday, August 5, 2017 from the Chapel at Homer Township Cemetery with burial to follow. Visitation will be at the Cemetery Chapel from 10:30 am until the time of service. Memorials in Lila's memory may be offered to Midland Community Cancer Services.
