Lena E. (Smith) Perry

Lena E. Perry, age 74 of Essexville, formerly of Sanford, passed away Saturday February 18, 2023 at McLaren Bay Regional. The daughter of the late Joseph and Thelma (Baker) Smith was born in Midland on November 25, 1948. Lena enjoyed doing crafts, crocheting, knitting, playing bingo and doing crossword puzzles.

Surviving is her son, Walter Ross, Jr.; daughter, Lee Ella Price; 6 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; brother, Richard "Dick" Smith; many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Lena was preceded in death by her brothers, Robert, John, Marvin, Roger Smith; sisters, Thelma Snyder, Mary Kinney, Violet Herald, and Virginia Smith; her first husband Walter L. Ross of whom she married in 1966 and 2nd husband, John Perry of whom she married in 1984.

Funeral and committal services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Saturday from Wilson MILLER Funeral Home. Interment will be in Lee Township Cemetery. Family will receive guests on Saturday from 12 noon until 1:00 p.m.
