Laura M. Donahue

Laura M. Donahue, age 96 of Midland, passed away Monday, May 31, 2021 at her residence surrounded by her family. The daughter of the late Harvey and Agnes (Churchfield) McLaren was born in Midland on May 14, 1925. Laura was a Nurses Aid for many years until retiring in 1996. She was a member of St. Brigid of Kildare Catholic Church, enjoyed crocheting, doing crafts, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family. On February 7, 1943 in Midland, Laura married Donald Donahue, Sr. and after 62 years of marriage he died on January 23, 2006.

Surviving are her children, Donald E. Donahue, Jr., Kathleen R. Bishop, Melvin H. Donahue, Sr., Ronald L. Donahue, James E, (Cindy) Donahue, Cheryl A. Donahue, Thomas W. Donahue, Paul A. (Kim) Donahue, Dale R. Donahue, Laura M. Donahue; 40 grandchildren; 64 great grandchildren; 23 great-great grandchildren; brother, Wilbur McLaren.

In addition to her parents and husband, Laura was preceded in death by her daughter, Mary Donahue; grandson, Donald E. Donahue III; siblings, Catherine, Malcolm. Bernice, Louis, John, Phyllis; daughters in law, Theresa and Lois.

Funeral services for Laura will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 9, 2021 from Wilson MILLER Funeral Home. Rite of Committal will follow in Old Calvary Cemetery. Family will receive guests at the funeral home on Tuesday from 5 until 8:00 p.m. and on Wednesday from 10:30 am until the time of service.
