Kenneth Robert Irish

Kenneth Robert Irish, age 77 of Saginaw, passed away Friday, August 30, 2024 at the Aleda E. Lutz VA Medical Center in Saginaw. He was born in Saginaw on February 28, 1947 to the late Fred and Pearle (Rouse) Irish. Ken married the former Marcia Patterson on January 14, 1967 and they shared 56 years together before her death.

Ken proudly served his country as a Corporal with the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. After the war, he served with the Reserves for many years. He then went on to work as a pipefitter with Lucas Assembly and Test in Saginaw. Ken was a talented woodworker and carpenter. He also enjoyed gunsmithing and muzzleloading.

Surviving are his children, Scott (Vicki) Irish and Jennifer (Steve) Hintz; grandchildren, Chelsea Irish, Ryan Irish, Mark (Beth) Eddy, Taylor Eddy, Emma Hintz and Tyler Hintz; great grandchildren, James Peplinski, Ava Jenkins, Gracie Jenkins, Hunter Irish, and Troy Eddy; siblings, Fred (Connie) Irish and Carol Hamilton. In addition to his parents, Ken was preceded in death by his son, Jayson Irish, and sister, Marilyn Seinko.

Funeral services for Ken will be held at 12:00 pm on Wednesday, September 11, 2024 at the Wilson MILLER Funeral Home, 4210 N. Saginaw Rd. Midland, MI 48640. Steve Seinko will officiate with military honors to be coordinated by the Midland Area Veterans and the United States Marine Corps. Following the services, a luncheon will be held at the funeral home.
