Kelli Jo Dawson

Kelli Jo Dawson, 54 beloved daughter, sister, niece and friend went to join her mother, Jeanne McAnallen and sister Lori Kay Rhead in a better place on Friday, August 30, 2013. Kelli fought the good fight, but cancer finally won the battle. The daughter of Charles K. McAnallen and the late Regina M. (Hunt) McAnallen was born in Midland on May 26, 1959 where she was raised and educated, graduating from Midland High School in 1977. Kelli graduated from Delta College School of Nursing with her RN certification. She was a smart, talented registered nurse who excelled in numerous types of surgery through out her career. Her true love was general surgery and she spent many a day with her favorite surgeon working side by side in the operating room. Kelli Jo enjoyed quilting, beading, loved reading and was an ardent Red Wings Fan. She also volunteered at the Midland Center for the Arts sewing costumes for many plays. She will be missed by her family and her many friends who knew her as a kind and generous lady.

Kelli Jo is survived by her father, Charles K. McAnallen; aunts, Ruth Johnson, Shirley Bork, Patricia Thomas and Lois Pomranky.

In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place with a private service to be held at a later date.
